Math

Math SBTL-Somireddy ( March 13-26)

* Use what you know- Math often builds on itself, so when you’re solving problems, use the concepts or strategies you have already learned

* One at a time- Block out other problems, so you can focus on one problem

* Show your work- It’s tricky to solve equations in your head; make use of scratch paper to work out each step of a problem

* Visualize- Sketch a picture or make a graph to help you better understand a math problem

* Use your resources- Use a calculator or formula “cheat sheet” so you have the tools you need to solve problems

* Pay attention to key vocabulary (e.g., sum, difference, and product) and signs- When you come across key information, make a mental note of it

* Check your work- After solving a problem, look back at your work to check for accuracy

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, anecdotes that have happened while at home.

My “office hours” are from 12:30- 1:30 each day, but I will be checking my email at other times throughout the day.

Thinking of you all,

Somi
